This is accomplished with adjustments to the entry roll, soapbox, and mold holder. The operator must monitor the presence of lubricants in the soap containers and must constantly monitor and ensure that the cable is round.

Lubrication in the drawing process is necessary to maintain a good surface finish and long mold life. There are currently four different types of lubrication methods: wet drawn, dry drawn, metallic paint, and ultrasonic vibration.

1) To act as a refrigerant,
2) Work as a cleaner,
3) To provide lubrication.
Production speeds increased as transmission technology improved. Therefore, the amount of heat generation has also increased. Therefore, the lubricant must act as a coolant to extend the life of the die and thus, productivity.
It is also important that the wire rope lubricant acts as a good cleaner and keeps the system running without getting clogged with the tiny wire residue that cannot be avoided in the drawing process.
As a vital function, the lubricant provides lubrication for the contact between the wire and the die. Therefore, it is important to choose lubricants wisely and properly to improve quality and productivity.
